Think is no joke. Gospel musician Thoko Katimba has declared that his next album launch will be at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Katimba made the remarks last Sunday in Blantyre during the official launch of Ndidzaimabe album at Robins Park, which was packed to the rafters. This was the first time for a gospel musician to command such a huge audience.

"I have tried almost all the halls in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu and proved that they are too small to accommodate my fans during the launch of my projects. Next time I will hold a show at Kamuzu Stadium," said Katimba.

However, this was not the first time for Katimba's shows to send some waves of surprise to people because the official double CD and DVD launch of his Werenga Madalitso also attracted a wonderful audience which filled French Cultural Centre.

He described the launch of his latest album at Robins Park as a huge success and a promising start of his shows lined up across the country's regions.

"This is a wonderful start and I believe this is just the beginning of more miracles to come," said Katimba.

Katimba's new album has also taken Malawi music industry by storm as it is leading sales with 10,000 copies within its first week on the market.

He attributed the success of his new album to the approach of his music which blends societal issues with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"This style of music helps me to have a diverse audience which equally support me during live performances. Just imagine, some fans had to travel all the way from Mulanje and Chikhwawa just to support me on Sunday," said Katimba.
