Sex is supposed to be enjoyed and is also recommended by doctors as a health activity because it exercises the muscles.

But sex can also be fatal when it leads to heart attacks.

A man in Chilobwe collapsed in the middle of the act during the festive season and he died Wednesday afternoon at a private clinic in Blantyre.

The man, did not recover after collapsing, eventually died when he was taken to the hospital.

Sources in Chilobwe have confirmed the incident, saying the man collapsed while in the act at the outskirts of Chilobwe at a place popularly known as Red Agnes.

The police in Chilobwe confirmed death of a man in his 50s but neither confirmed the cause of death nor the hospital where the man was admitted.

What has shocked people most about the incident is that the man was shagging a woman who was his wife's friend.

Another shocker was that when police went to search the secret lover's house, they discovered pornographic materials which they have since confiscated. They also found some pills which the source believes were consumed to enhance performance.

The details of the incident are that the deceased, a habitual philanderer who had been in this extra-marital relationship for close to 13 years, developed high blood pressure while in the act.

"At this point he decided to stop and take a bath so that he could cool himself down. After the bath the man felt it was time to enjoy his sex again but when he started again the situation did not improve, he lost it and collapsed," the source said.

When he was taken to the hospital, his condition did not improve and was later pronounced dead by doctors.
