Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC) General Manager Golden Matiya has allegedly been abusing the corporation’s resources by insisting that it pays for plasma screens, two DStv accounts and that his wife be paid allowances whenever she travels with him to attend meet benings. However, Matiya has defended his actions. The revelations are contained in a report by MHC Financial Controller Viollete Santhe, which was leaked to us by a member of staff, disciplinary

and allocations committee which summoned her and former AssistantGeneral Manager Floyd Mondiwa for a disciplinary hearing last month. In her response to charges of insubordination, Santhe suspects that she was dragged to
