MANGO Entertainment has announced that the live concert of South Africa's afro-soul singer Zahara will be held at Comesa Hall in Blantyre on February 16.
The organisers failed to come out clear on the venue when they announced news of Zahara performance last week.
The ent e r t a inment f i rm said they have now finalised everything and that people should not doubt.
"We are pleased to announce to the media, Zahara fans and the general public that we have finalised all the details and a contract was finally signed on Thursday at 7pm through our representative in South Africa," said the press release.
The contract, which The Daily Times sourced, indicates t h a t Si f i s o Ts h a b a l a l a o f Goodlife Productions signed the agreement on behalf of the singer while Enock Muleya signed on behalf of Mango Entertainment.
Mango Entertainment said Zahara, who performed in the country last year in Lilongwe courtesy of Standard Bank's Joy of Jazz sharing the stage with Wambali Mkandawire, will travel to Malawi with DJ Noxx, who will also spice up the concert.
The company's spokesperson Steven Kamanga said Zahara will come with her full band and that they have also roped in locals Dan Lufani and Edgar ndi Davis Band to spice up the show.
The company said they have followed the procedures in inviting Zahara stressing that they had to satisfy an obligation required of paying a deposit of 50 percent of her appearance fees upfront and insuring that the equipment she demanded is available.
The press release indicates that the tickets for the concert started selling on Friday with advance tickets K7,500 for general seats and VIP tickets going at K12,000. The tickets are being sold at Steers in Blantyre and Alexander's Pub in Lilongwe.
The tickets at the door will be selling at K10,000 for general seats and K15,000 for VIP.
